FAQ’s

Courses on this site are a mix of either self-study, or full one-to-one lessons with a tutor. Tutor-based lessons can also be taken in groups of two.

Self-study comes with the option of keeping in contact with the tutor via messenger. This means that you shall receive limited tutor support via the lesson materials and messenger, if you need it.

This site is for learners of Arabic generally, as well as those who specifically intend to study GCSE Arabic, for the exam. You can use the self-study option if you study elsewhere, or if the tutor is over-subscribed. Following all the steps/order below is not essential. You can opt to start with a trial, assessment, or main course.

Start with an optional short entry course. These courses can also be used to familiarise yourself with this site.

Take a self-assessment to test your current Arabic level, whether for Arabic generally or GCSE Arabic specifically.

Select a main course of study and take a deep dive into Arabic language studies.

Enrolment steps

To sign up for a course, or assessment, on this site:

  • Visit the correct course overview page for the course that you’re interested in signing up for.
  • Once you are happy to continue with purchase of a course, or assessment, scroll down to the payment section, on the course overview page, and select the access button for the type of payment you wish to make.
  • After filling out your details, and checking you have selected the right course code, press the ‘buy now’ button. You shall receive an email and invoice regarding your course or assessment choice. Follow the instructions within emails relating to your choice.
  • After your application and payment have been processed you shall receive payment confirmation and see your item (course) appear on your dashboard. Click on your course, on your dashboard, to start. Then start reading the introduction (outline page).
  • If you experience any issues visit the help centre and read the relevant topic to solve the problem, or get in touch.

We place students into one of the following levels/courses:

  • Lower beginner – A01, A02, A03. Entry.
  • Upper beginner – A1PC. Primary/KS3/Pre-GCSE.
  • Lower intermediate – A1FC. Foundation.
  • Upper intermediate to advanced- A2HC. Higher.

If you are unsure of your exact level we can assess you, 1-to-1, with a tutor or using the self assessment section of this site.

Yes, the customised syllabus comprises:

  • CEFR levels.
  • Pearson-Edexcel themes, vocabulary and grammar.
  • Pre-developed, online course materials and modules.

There are some initial entry requirements for access to courses:

  • being able to understand English.
  • have a device with internet access.
  • the higher the course level the more Arabic knowledge that is needed.
  • terms of service and course payment.

GCSE Arabic is usually a two year course, depending on your previous Arabic knowledge or lack thereof. The amount of time needed to complete a course shall depend on your exam year, your ability, and completion of all lessons by their due date.

Each of our site based GCSE Arabic courses last around 9 months each, this includes all resources and materials. For those who have less time available, before their exam/s, lessons can be had, external to this site, on a 1-to-1 basis with the tutor.

Assessments, and short entry courses, are usually available to start at anytime. If the enrolment panel for a course is locked get in touch.

Longer courses typically start enrolling between August and September, although late entry is possible.
